I urge you to consider retraining your employees on proper customer service. At a couple points in my story I gave the employees the opportunity to notice their mistakes and correct them. They failed miserably out of ignorance and laziness. This was one of the worst retail interactions I have had in recent years. The progression of stories like my own will only push more people towards online shopping. Stores like Sears, Kmart, and Toys-R-Us thought they were too big to fail. If you continue to follow this path, Lowe's might be the next major retailer on the chopping block.

Very expensive kitchen design remodel prices and poor service. The team at Lowe's Gallatin TN with Alicia was kin-of-shady and didn't offer straight forward results. Expensive run-around ... I do not recommend !
Just finished ordering about $30,000 worth of work through Lowe's to replace my roof, my gutters and ordered siding for the house. Chris with Lowes worked hard to get this in so that I would get all the available discounts that saved me close to $3,000! I will post again once the work is done.
We had our refrigerator/freezer delivered today. The two guys were professional, quick, and informative. We couldn't have asked for better service. Thanks
My girlfriend, her family, and myself went into Lowe's today to buy a grill. We spent a good amount of time picking through different models and comparing prices. Checking reviews and eventually selecting the one we wanted. We asked a customer sales associate if they had the grill we wanted put together. After scanning the bar code for the exact grill they told us that they did not have one in stock. He told us that the soonest we could get one would be on Wednesday the following week. He wrote down the SKU and directed us to the cashier who would check us out.
The employee had the nerve to tell me the sticker placed by the manufacturer was the wrong sticker. It was so obviously clear that he was trying to slide us this different grill thinking I wouldn't know the differences in SKUs meant something. Little did he know I worked for a large chain retailer as someone who ordered over half their inventory. It gets worse though.
While we were waiting in the line he told us he 'found' one outside that was the exact same and we could take it home today. We were confused because we had looked outside twice already and noted that they were different grills despite looking the same on the outside. I followed him so he could describe how exactly they were the same. He pointed to one that looked similar to the one inside. It was not, and I pointed out that the SKU was a different number than the one we wanted inside and the item was listed as a "3 burner grill" and the inside was a "4 burner grill. Here's where it gets bad.
As we were checking out to purchase the correct item, based off the SKU from the original grill. The cashier spent several minutes trying to convince us the one outside was the exact same grill. Not even having gone outside to check herself! I told her that the SKUs were different and she had no reply. She gave us a face clearly indicating we were wasting her time by waiting another week to get the correct grill.
Be careful what you buy here. They will purposefully try to sell you different items than you request to buy.
Very Poor Service ... Lowe's Kitchen remodel design team was not detailed, unable to supply a timely and cost effective quote. The Lowe's kitchen remodel quote was at least twice the price of contractors that do better work.
