People are very caring, however there regards keeping is lax. Our dog loves the place.
These people are the best ever! I would recommend them highly to anyone! They're great and my dog was very happy!
We did end up going through with the reservation and the drop off was pleasant enough although the front desk girl seemed more interested in her cell phone than my family at first but that’s how young people are my husband assured me. We tried calling to check on them a couple times and could never get no one on the phone. We finally got a call back the night prior to picking them up. They assured me everything went fine, and my babies had a good time and no issues with meds or eating.
When we got home I counted out the remainder of the pills and several doses were NOT GIVEN! I keep a very detailed account of her quantity because missing doses with her condition can be fatal! I contacted them about this immediately and spoke to the owner who ASSURED me nothing was missing and that she personally seen the meds given.
Thirteen years later we're as satisfied as we were at the beginning. The team is made up of true dog people and we trust them implicitly.
First off I’ll start of by saying this place came highly recommended to me by a co-worker so we wanted to give them a try we are new to the area. Our first warning sign was when I called to set up a reservation and had to call and leave a message twice in two days to receive a call back. The lady who contacted me was very short and direct not personable at all. I have two older maltipoos and one of them is on seizure medication and the lady stated medications were no issue that they keep record and never have any problems.. I should have reconsidered after that phone call when the employee acted like I was overconcerned about my babies medication.
Our lab loved it there - they were caring, conscientious, and didn't tack fees on left and right. When she passed, we adopted two wonderful new dogs from Friends of Hannah Rescue (which is located at Hairy Moose), and they go back and visit often.
My dogs love visiting the Hairy Moose. And the folks at the Hairy Moose truly love animals.
We moved to Nashville (Bellevue area) in 2004 and toured (and tried) boarding facilities in our area and in Brentwood. We weren't satisfied with any of them so we tried Hairy Moose on a recommendation from a friend. We haven't looked back. Despite the two-hour round-trip it's the only place we board our dogs.
I do not believe this one bit. Needless to say we will never board their again and caution highly against anyone using their services in the future. They very well could have caused my baby to have serious medical issues!
