I needed just a CO2 tank exchange. I found the shop to be very pleasant.
I needed an oxygen and C2H2 tank replaced on a homemade welding/cutting rig. The guy working there spent over 40 minutes trying to figure out how to undo rusty chains and binders in order to replace the bottles. There aren't many businesses out there that would have taken the time needed to get the job done. I admire the guy for patiently working on a rig that is definitely not user friendly.
It is also nice and close to me. I used to drive to Nashville. No more.
I needed an co/argon tank for my MIG and they were very helpful deciding what size to get and giving me an Idea how long the tank would last. I've been back a few other times to get replacement tanks and a new liner and have alway got top notch service. It's a little out of my way, but worth the trip.

Top self welding supply if they don't have they will either tell you where you can get it or order it. Great service.
I work for Ron's Automotive which also on South Water Avenue. We have been using Gallatin Welding Supply for our both our mig-welding supplies and our Oxy-Cetylin torch supplies. They are always great. He makes jokes about our old Hobart welder but has supplied us with whatever we could need for years. They are very helpful to people who come in for welding supplies or advice. I would highly recommend this company for anyone who needs welding supplies.
