I had a very bad experience at Ron’s Automotive. When my van was returned to me it had several things broken under the hood and even duct taped together. It was put back together crazy and the battery and other parts were sitting crooked and many things were not connected and pieces were broken. The duct tape could have been sucked up by the intake system and ruined my engine, among other things. It ran at first but sounded awful and then I looked under the hood and my jaw dropped I couldn’t believe what I saw and I took it back to Ron’s but the crazy thing is that they said I brought it to them like that and they would not make it right. I am female but I’m not an idiot when it comes to cars and I had been under the hood the day before I took it to them and it was not like that at ALL!!!! I left there very frustrated and the van lost power and died on the side of the road before I got home and I had to have it towed to a real car repair business who could not believe what they saw under my hood and they were very honest and fixed everything back correctly and saved my engine!!!! They should be ashamed to do people like that!!!
Quality service, accommodating and great communication. My 1980 K5 Blazer needed work balancing the fuel/air ratio which was far over my head. Having a carburetor makes it difficult to find mechanics near Nashville who truly know what they're doing. The guys at Ron's took care of everything and made sure to thoroughly explains everything to me along the way. I'd go back for sure.
They figured out my car issue and explained it to me. The price was better than anyone in the Nashville area.
Just an overall bad experience. 1.) I took my 2014 Kia Rio to get my brake lights and TCS fixed along with some re-wiring on Monday 10/23 ***which the brake light job costs me $400 including labor*** and they told me it should be fixed Wednesday 10/25 but didn’t get it back until the following day but when I got it back that same day my TCS stayed on and a new problem came up with AC and Heat buttons weren’t working at all so my fiancé and I were freezing in the car until we took it back to the shop today (Wednesday, 11/1/2017) 2.) I bring the car back to the shop this morning and was told by the mechanic that the brake switch job SHOULD be done before by lunch time which is 12 pm ***I brought the car at 8:45 a.m. that’s about 4 hours*** ... 11:30 a.m. rolls around and I call to see if the job was done, the mechanic said he’s doing some tests on it now he’ll call back in 45 mins with an update. 12:30 p.m. rolls around ***sidenote I have to be at work at 12:30 p.m. & I made that known to the receptionist and she said she’d relay it to the mechanic prior to the brake switch job*** at this point I am irrate and agitated because I’ve been calm and giving my time to make sure it gets fixed. I call the shop and I go to voicemail and I message the receptionist via FB and I get no answer. I leave a voicemail like any irrate customer would and I get a call back from a personal cell from the receptionist and was kindly given the option to pickup the vehicle which was gladly taken. I’ve been to Ron’s Automotive before and the experience was GREAT and the problem was fixed this was mid-2016. Now, I go there with a younger mechanic and created more problems for me and burning up my wallet. The receptionist was kind to help with transportation or anyway she could help which was a nice gesture but I felt like I was scammed in a way. I didn’t get that family-oriented vibe from that shop. I wouldn’t recommend going here.
My brakes work like new and I will definitely go back.
It was my first time at Ron's. The staff is GREAT ! They gave me a quote to fix the breaks on my 2011 F150 and install new step bars, even though the work became more involved than expected they honored their quote.
